Any local OPPOs know of good junkyards in the area? Never been to one and my geo needs some work and I’m starting an incredibly needed 5-day staycation today, so thought it might be fun to check one out even if I don’t buy anything. Also if anybody has any good drive ideas, let me know! Is Pikes peak still open? I’ve never been and it looks like it might be online, but some friends were saying it closes after Labor Day. Also gonna check out the monument area, would like to move there when my current lease expires, Denver is getting to be too much, me and my wife are more small town people.
Pictured-my dream classic
I’d take this over any muscle car.

I’ve been to the LKQ Pick Your Part in Aurora off of 33rd and Peoria, and the LKQ just north of 60th on Federal. Both have been ok.

I have a colleague that lives in Monument and drives to Denver every day. Between the distance and the traffic jams...ugh, I would not like to be in his shoes. He bought a Prius for the drive, put some crazy miles on it (just over a 100 mile round trip daily 5 days a week for a few years), and sold it and bought a Forester because the roads can get pretty gnarly in winter. Do you have a job which is not in Denver, or would not require you to drive there every day?

yup on both. They’re perfectly acceptable yards.

Nope! I work in Centennial, but my commute is 45+ min coming from Littleton anyways so I don't think it would be a whole lot worse.
